When I find myself in need of inspiration for starting a project that requires a focus on typography, I sometimes turn to the streets of Los Angeles. Thanks to the lack of control over billboards and signage, we are bombarded with all types of visuals (some very good….some not so good) . Usually when I am sitting in traffic somewhere in the city, I find myself browsing the streets for interesting elements of type and how it is composed on a sign.
